Review by Joey K
Hopelessly was released as a two part single in the UK, each single coupled with 3 Astley PWL singles as b-side. Part one was the studio version of Hopelessly, and part two was a live single version recorded on Night Express Rete 105 - Milan, Italy. Notably, Astley makes an error when singing the live version in the second half of the song - "And All My Dreams Begin To Blind Me, They Don't Matter Anymore" when it should be "...Blind Me, And I Was So Confused". The single scored exceptionally well on North American adult contemporary charts, hitting 4 in the US and 3 in Canada. It is still a recurrent play on most North America hot AC stations.
